RAW:

Since the consumption of  Raw Foods has become more and more a topic of discussion, we have decided to  use this column to do just that, if you have a question to ask or something to say about eating raw here is the place to do it.

Raw food eaters, often called  Foodists, follow as many different ideas about the eating, preparation, and accessing of foods as do Vegetarians and Vegans.  Some  ideas are about: the tempertures that food can be prepared and still be considered raw. There are one food raw diets. Consumption of which foods with which , along with the type of equipment that needs to be used.  We do not proport to be Foodists, we make it our business to eat some raw foods every day, we do eat cooked vegeterian and vegan foods.

There is information on all kinds of raw ideas on the internet and are easy to access, should you be interested.

Just as being vegetarian or vegan is more than a diet and is a life style so be it for being a Foodist. Many aspects of living are taken into consideration.

Our intent here is simple:

 Food for Health of Body, Mind and Spirit, and in a RAW  WAY

To Begin:  here is how we do it.

   DAY : SEVEN: and then to begin again,by this time you may began to feel something different about your body and your spirit and your mind. Gol with it relax and deep breath a bit more and do become consicious of doing this.

Also longings for foods from the past may loom high in your mind, if you can find some other food to replace this or a thought or an action do so, if you find that you have not been able to reisist yield to yourself in a gentle manner, this is most important. Love your self.

And in the Words of Gertrude S. TO BEGIN:

 Breakfast:   Breaking the fast from the night.  glass of Rejuvalac, Fresh Organic Juice with Spirulina, milk thistle, maca and psyllium husk.

Lunch:   Our heaviest meal of the day

Our Raw for this Meal;  BLT a pate` made from Raw Brazil Nuts and Raw Cashews on a bed of organic romaine lettuce, with steamed edamames in soy sauce.

Dinner: Two glasses of red wine of choice, one of us prefers white. (some nights its more than two glasses,its the whole bottle.) Choices . Agava Nectar on multi-grain toasted bread with scrambled tofu

FOR SNACKS BETWEEN MEALS;

This is our biggest error zone, sometimes we long for a food we stopped eating for example one of us love ice cream, so we decided to make fruit creams to replace this craving, most often it does work, when it doesn't well ice cream it is. The other of us love rootbeer soda and has not found an acceptable replacement, so rootbeer soda is in the house.

 In Season Fruits, mangos, sappadillias, bananas,  green coconuts, cherries, and so on.  Raw almonds, cashchews, or sunflower seeds.

We make an effort to follow this kind of reqime each day, some day we are great  other days well o well, we make errors and we correct them, Remember take your time -  slow organic growth of  body-mind-spirit is always desirable and do not forget to forgive yourself for any errors you make and then go on.

ACCESSING FOODS;

 It has been our expierence that accessing healthy food and food that is healthyly grown has not been easily accessable to those who live in places that are not considered up scale.  Often times the prices of organically grown foods are purposely placed out of reach for  the everyday  group of us, so being cleaver in accessing foods has become second nature to us.  Our plan is to share some of the semmingly secrets with you one at a time.

1. Grow it yourself or with others.

2. If your city/town/area has a food co-op use it (most often the items will be healthy). Or your city may have a produce market check it out  you will be surprised at what you will find.

3. When you shop consider the stores close to you (they are more likely to have ethinic foods of the people who live  in the area.)

4. Start a neighborhood garden with other neighbors who have interest.

A SIMPLE RAW RECIPE:

4 organic florida juice oranges, rinse well,cut or bite out a space in the top, squezze the juice into your mouth, split open  the body and eat the plup.

Make sure all the flesh is out of the rind and dry the skin, use as a zest or eat when you want the taste of orange in your mouth.

ENJOY cause you know  that the GREAT MOTHER made  with  love.
